Shelved for a few years because of pronounced shortness of the recipe, music games hoping to make a comeback this fall on the new consoles. If Rock Band 4 put on continuity in gameplay and backward compatible instruments, Guitar Hero Live tent all for all with changes at all levels. We went in the studio Freestyle Games, England, to discover this new version, more demanding than ever.


We are in Leamington Spa, south of Birmingham, a nice small town in central England. This, in their studios, as small equally as nice guys Freestyle Games invited us to put hands on Guitar Hero Live, their next title, which will be released in late October. FYI, this is the team behind the first two DJ Hero. The aim was both to make us understand what would change in this new album, but also how they had managed to move the lines, to make substantial changes to the usual recipe of the franchise.

Furthermore, the expedition to England was also an opportunity to shed some light on the nebulous issue of Guitar Hero TV, because again, the previous games and DLC will not be compatible with GH Live. Simply put, there are two online channels where the pieces all day as clips are linked together. Next time you log in, you will come across different issues, which are all themes for selected pieces: pop, rock, indie, alternative, folk, or even 80's, 90's and many others craziest probably discover . Just turn the guitar to take the current track and you start playing, competing also with other players. By doing so, you collect points that will help you unlock the songs you want at any time. That's the rub a little of this Live Guitar Hero: no way to permanently unlock or buy pieces that are not on the disc at the base. They randomly pass on Guitar Hero TV, and with some money units in-game (or real money), you can unlock to play it again. If you want to replay it, you will spend points again ... Too bad, developers started from the feedback of the players who showed they were using very few songs paid DLC; we are of the view that if you pay for having is because you are sure to sand down to the end of the night ... The question therefore remains on the proportion of shares that will be available on the disc and therefore playable game at will, and other pieces that will be playable via GH TV.
